Dog Power

Posted on 08. Feb, 2010 by admin in Environment

You love your pet, don’t you? Well would you love it if you knew it was destroying the planet? New Zealand-based Professors Robert and Brenda Vale say that a large dog requires 2.7 acres of land to sustain – the equivalent of what it takes to power almost 3 SUVs. The only rational thing to do may be, yes, to eat it when it dies. Now, before writing this notion off, consider this: the average American child generates a carbon footprint about six times greater than one of its parents. Maybe it’s time to…no, no, we can’t say it. In thisĀ episode of A Minute of Your Time, take a look at the carbon pawprint of some of your favorite pets.
